The Initiative
Maha Marathon is an initiative by Lokmat Media Pvt Ltd to motivate and inspire runners from all walks of life- the sincere professional, elite runners, half marathoners, running enthusiasts, amateur runners, health freaks, families and all those who are inspired to hit the track – for equality, for inspiration, for the thrill to win.
With the theme of #BhaagoBindass, the 6th Season of Maha Marathon is a call to runners from all walks of life to challenge their boundaries and go beyond that on the track!
The Marathon
With its vision to provide a consistent platform and inculcate the marathon culture in all corners of Maharashtra, individual runs are hosted in 5 major cities of the state- Nashik, Aurangabad, Kohlapur, Nagpur & Pune.
Taking this platform to an even grander height, in this season, for the first time ever, the run is being hosted in the city of Maha Mumbai!
With this unique event, participants can enjoy the opportunity to see the beautiful terrains of the cities and experience the hospitality and tourism of these places.
The participants also take home souvenirs, including our specially designed thematic t-shirts, bandana & more!
The Circuit

6 Runs in 4 months.
Maha Marathon is the only run circuit in Maharashtra. Travelling through the state's most iconic cities- Aurangabad, Nashik, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Maha Mumbai and Pune, the circuit has been designed for success. You can participate in the full-fledged 21K Half Marathon or the challenging 10K Power Run in all five events or choose to do a mix of the two. You can also participate in the 5K run to challenge yourself. Whatever your choice is, we will celebrate your success with the gorgeous circuit frame.
The Prize
This year MahaMarathon is giving away prizes worth 70 Lakhs. But beyond the cash prizes, lies the chance to experience the pride of becoming a Maha-Marathoner. The finisher of the multi-city circuit gets the special Circuit Medal – a unique prize symbolizing that you have conquered Maharashtra.
